As she mixed the rice in with the abundance of sauce, Daliala sighed softly. The chicken was in large chunks, while she was a fan of finely diced types. Mentally she shrugged, because it's food and she's hungry. Poking her fork into the large piece of broccoli, she was about to take a bite out of it when he questioned her purpose for posing the question. "Honestly it was just on a whim."
Daliala shrugged and bit off the leafy parts, putting the hard stem in the corner of the container. Why had she asked him, really? Somewhere in the back of her mind she had probably wondered just why he had never made a move on her. It's not like I'm conceited or anything, but usually that's what I'm good for. However they had been friends from the start, it wasn't ever romantic. Finding a small piece of chicken, she stabbed it with the fork and then nommed it.
Giving Timothy a side glance, she swallowed the meat and tipped her chin up to create a tilt of the head. "What about you, why'd you kiss me?"

◣◆ | Timothy nodded briefly as she spoke. A whim huh? That sounded a lot like her although he wouldn't be surprised if there was a little bit of something else underneath that. Of course, he just be over thinking things. He always did. Moving his Lo Mein around, he'd twirl it up and eat what was on the fork chewing slowly as her question hit him. After swallowing, her question was met with an honest shrug before he sighed briefly. While he was generally an honest person, people like Daliala always made him a little bit too honest.
"I thought it'd be nice? I don't know, something in my head just clicked and figured if you asked a question like that, that you'd of wanted me to kiss you and not be some huge nerd and stutter awkawrdly around the question like in those silly yet ever so relatable romantic comdies." Timothy would say. Granted he wanted to drag his explanation out by referencing a few movie titles, especially ones they've both watched together at some point for shits and giggles however he felt that prolonging any already proven point would only make him look sillier. Taking a brief moment to stab into a piece of chicken, Timothy would continue on.
"We've always been...close. We've always teased each other and I dunno, I just never really thought you'd think of me as anything other than a friend, especially since I know despite your rep, guys still drool over you constantly. I'm a bit better than those average dweebs." Timothy said despite being a massive nerd in reality. |

After a few more mouthfuls of her dinner, she swallowed hard and almost choked a little. Huge nerd? He is tho... Daliala laughed and then followed it with a cough. "My bad." Rolling off her bed, she headed to the mini-fridge on her knees. Walking would take up too much energy. Yes - Dali was being lazy. Opening the door, she grabbed them both bottles of water, and then went back to the bed. Plopping back down she pushed the water towards him and then closed her container of food, she set it on the floor and put her back against the wall.
"Good food, thanks." She took a swig of her water and glanced over to Timothy. "For one, you are a nerd to some people. I've grown to just know it as 'you' tho." Daliala shrugged; it wasn't something she really cared about. Mothy was Mothy - that's all that mattered. Stretching her arms over her head, she yawned openly and then rubbed her eyes. Whenever she was around him, she was so relaxed that it made her sleepy. Well, only when it's late like this I guess...
When he mentioned about guys drooling over her, she just shook her head. "Naaah, it's usually just the people I've screwed before." Wow that made her sound like a slut. "I think that came out the wrong way."
