[attr="class","hdinfotitle"]OUR WARMEST WELCOMES
[attr="class","hdinformation"]Welcome to Birchwood Academy! We are pleased that you have selected us as your school of choice, but like any school we have rules that must be followed.
To the parents of our potential students, we understand your concerns about the safety of your children and answer them thusly. Our teachers are trained to handle dangerous situations. They are trained to defuse potentially violent situations, and security guards are employed at the campus at all hours. Students are provided with free counseling and can be referred to off campus psychiatrists if need be. Our students are encouraged to be creative and express themselves, and we take pride in our community service. We provide a safe place for troubled young adults to thrive.
- Students are forbidden from smoking cigarettes on campus.
- Sexual activities are forbidden on campus.
- Phones, laptops, and other devices are to be stored during class. They may be used in your dorm or during free periods and passing periods.
- There is a strict curfew of ten o’clock pm during the weekdays and midnight on the weekends. This curfew is sternly enforced and students caught breaking it will be reprimanded.
- There is no uniform and we encourage our students to express themselves. Please keep in mind not to dress in an overly distracting way. Hair may be colored ‘unnatural’ colors but please remember not to be a distraction.
- Body jewelry should be kept to a minimum.
- Spiked or chained clothing is forbidden.
- Students are required to complete two book reports per semester.
- The use of illegal drugs will have severe repercussions.
- The typical setup for grade levels is 14 - 15 (Freshman), 15 - 16 (Sophomore), 16 - 17 (Junior), and 17 - 18 (Senior). However if your character has failed a year or so, this will not be of concern. We are happy to accommodate older students.
