[attr="class","hdtitle"]PERSONALITY [attr="class","hdinfo"]Feeling as he was the black sheep in the family always made Adrian feel lonely in life. His siblings were all normal and his twin sister was especially well liked and for him it felt futile to even bother trying to be perfect. Due to this Adrian had always lived in a very carefree way. His views on life pretty much fall into the 'whatever' category for most circumstances. He's laid back and won't judge people for how they choose to live their lives as he hopes no one will do for him; though he doubts anyone else has this same outlook. Relationships were always temporary for him, friendships, and otherwise. He can't seem to keep them for long if he even gets them. In his mind he is stuck in a perpetual loneliness. He's quick to take advantage of people if it means a moment of happiness for himself. He doesn't intend to do it, but the feeling of happiness is addicting to him. Sometimes this leads to bad decisions as his addictive personality seems to have too many negative routes. Despite his troubles he's probably one of the most likely people to step in to be the momentary hero. It pisses him off to see the 'little guy' picked on or power being abused by adults. He has a chip on his shoulder with authority for those very reasons. When Adrian actually gets attached to someone it terrifies him to death. He reacts strongly to those feelings and can sometimes either be too aggressive or go completely reclusive. Adrian loves the sound of rain and the rain often soothes him. It's one of the easiest ways he finds to calm himself down when he gets upset. It brings back only good memories for him and those memories he can cling to in order to push past the bad memories and bad thoughts that tend to surface in his mind. Adrian is extremely sentimental as well, anything he is given he will likely keep, even if it's from someone he's not particularly fond of and he will always go out of his way to try to return kindness. Even if he thinks it's falsely placed. Other notes: + Addictive personality + Sentimental + Attentive and Observant + Easily discouraged + Skeptical + Generous despite his tendencies to steal from others + Loves hard when he loves at all + Can do well if he puts his mind to it + Sees a therapist at least twice a month + Defends the bullied though he can be a bully himself + Rebellious against authority + Scared of emotional attachment + Likes the sound of rain, calming, good memories tied to it. + Enjoys junkfood too much (no seriously, give him junkfood and he'll be your best friend.) + Knowledgeable about trivial things and people + Nosey + Unknowingly talented with arts & crafts + Large family that believes in out-dated socially proper behavior + Survivor's guilt + Expresses himself even if he is afraid to do so. + Excels in hands-on learning and subjects that allow him to get directly involved with the studied subject. + Prosthetic left leg which he doesn't talk about unless it's brought up, but he's willing to educate about it. | [attr="class","hdtitle"]HISTORY/MISC. [attr="class","hdinfo"]Adrain was born a part of a relatively large family. He was the fourth (or fifth depending on who you ask) of his parent's children. Born one part of a set of fraternal twins. Despite this he and his sister grew up sharing many similar visual qualities, but they could not have been more like the sun and moon in terms of personality. Their three older brothers were not the only siblings they would acquire in their existence as only a few short years after they were born into this world their parents gave birth to another two girls. Both within years of each other though they would be the last. Their large family did not only stem from his immediate family, his aunt had five of her own, and his uncle six. It was easy for most to tell that having a large family was important to their family name, but so were the values that those families taught to their children. Growing up Adrian was expected to grow to be a masculine and proper young man. To do well in school, have a lot of friends, and a lot of women to woo in attempts at finding the one that would bring him the same fate as the rest of his family. The only problem was that Adrian didn't seem to see eye to eye with the wishes of his parents. He was constantly in the middle of most family dramas and most dramas within his school. His parents were especially harsh on him when his rebellious testing began and doing such only made his will to fight stronger. He was viewed as the bad egg to the rest of his family, but his siblings always tried to steer him right. Even despite their efforts he was always the one to shoulder the blame for anything done wrong due to his own actions in the past. It made him bitter to say the least and he often felt alone in the world; even with everyone around him. In middle school Adrian's sister was miss popular, she could do no wrong. She was the movie-generic sort of girl who seemed ontop of the world with popularity. Sports, mother's favorite, birthday parties and everything. She put on the picture perfect show for her parents. Adrian, on the other hand, had his own source of popularity. He was the sort of person that couldn't be stuck into one group of people. He talked to anyone and everyone, but always did his own thing. No one really knew what his deal was, but most people knew of him at least. There was always a bad rumor about him that made his sister more like a trophy child one way or another. Whether it was from the rumors of blackmailing teachers, setting fire to the library, or fights he was constantly in circulation. Those were only a few of the many rumors told about him, some were worse than others of course, but it was hard to say by the students which was the most accurate. Had he set fire to the library? Maybe, but no one could prove that it was him. Did he blackmail teachers? Well, definitely not for good grades given how he was barely passing any of his classes. The only thing that seemed to be true was the rumor that he had ways of finding things out about people that most would never be told. No one could confirm just how he got that information and that in itself ended up spawning a number of the rumors that lead to most of his in-school fights. Win or lose, he would always laugh it off to his parents, giving the same old line. "If you think my face looks bad you should see the other guy!" though his parents never seemed amused by it. This didn't change even as he grew older, but his parent's stress over it only grew. In general his life was pretty uneventful through middle school, up until the passing of his twin sister midway through, the accident left him with scars both on his body and his heart as well as a missing leg. Even if they were a lot different and he despised her sometimes, she was still his sister and a closer part of his existence than his other siblings. He took his sister's death especially hard, mostly due to the fact that he felt guilty for surviving when she didn't, but he would never speak about it to anyone. He closed himself off to most of his family and he spent more time away from home than in it. He had even begun to steal from his parents and run away from home on a fairly regular basis. His parents tried what they could to straighten him out. Which was often more grounding, taking his things away, and threatening than anything else. When he stole money he always spent it on the closest thing he could find that made him feel good. Even for a moment's time. Sometimes music, sometimes he'd bribe someone to buy him alcohol, but often times he'd end up somewhere alone sleeping on the ground until he was found by his parents to drag him back home. When he went into high school his popularity disappeared, but not the rumors. They only grew worse and in his freshman year he got in with the wrong crowd, but they made him feel alive again. Which was something that he'd been seeking since his sister's passing. He learned through them how to push his emotions deep down inside and to live in the moment. He drowned his own mind and began avoiding his own home to the point that his parents had sent the police after him several times. Barely passing became the acceptable status of his school life and, despite the extra efforts of some of his teachers, it would not push him toward success. After being caught trying to steal from one of his teacher's personal his school had given him his final strike and he was expelled which lead to a lot of fights within his home. Naturally, for him, he responded by running away once again. This time he skipped town ended up far from sober a few towns over with some of his shadier friends. Though none of those friends stuck around when he was caught on the run from police after they'd robbed a convenience store for money to pay for their 'fun.' Accessory to a crime he was locked up and given a smaller sentence for his help in identifying the rest of his crew. He spent the next year in juvi and in therapy sessions he was forced to go to in there. He was put through rehabilitation and forced to learn other ways of coping with his own feelings. His family was distant, his oldest brother the only that attended some of his sessions, and in the end it was agreed that he would continue his schooling at Birchwood academy in order to further rehabilitate him. |
