{ } Xander loved the library. Frankly, if given a choice between saving a library, he might just be unable to choose. It wasn't that he didn't love his family- books simply held a special place in his heart. They were easier to understand than people, at the very least. So it'd be no surprise that the condescending teen often ended up in said library. What truly made this visit intriguing though was that books were only a secondary reason for being there. See, he had run into a peculiar individual on campus that he simply couldn't understand one bit. The man had very odd habits that genuinely left him baffled, such as babbling insensibly in conversations, blurting things out at random, and so on- but also amused to a degree. For anyone else, of course this would be someone simply shy, or socially awkward- but not for Xander. Xander saw image as one of the most important things, and for a boy to so carelessly throw that away? Well, there had to be more to it. He refused to accept such a casual answer: And thus, he'd begun stalking him. He was sly about it, of course, but anyone with more than half a brain would've noticed by now how often he appeared in the same place as his target, discretely watching him. Of course, he could have very well just talked to him, but Xander wanted to hold out just a bit more, watch him a bit longer before approaching and playing with him. For now, the plan was simple: the boy he sought after came to the library close to aroumd this time, so he'd wait around until the boy showed up, and casually read a book while watching him. He could only hope that schedule wouldn't be changed today. Though even if it did, he supposed he was content just to be in a library. Word Count: 317 Tag: Kae Lunan MADE BY VEL OF GS

It wasn't the first time, not even the second or third when Kae noticed it. At first he had completely made it out to be one of those paranoid thoughts that plagued him. But nonetheless, his ability to recognize any little details out of the ordinary never seemed to fail him. That's why he had stopped concentrating on the activities before him much less than his surroundings. Occasionally, he saw a glimpse of a boy in bright green hair roaming around the campus. Kae hadn't paid much attention because frankly, it meant nothing to him what the other boy did. Perhaps it all began a week ago, when he started to see the said individual more often that he would have liked. Kae had shoved the matter off as simple coincidence, however, it just hadn't been that easy when such individual with bright green hair ends up being in his vicinity. At one point, the sophomore had wondered if the stranger's hat was supposed to provide him stealth. If that were so, the hat patently did a bang up job doing so. The brunet sincerely contemplated changing his daily patterns. From time to time, he went out of his way to change the routes he used to communicate within the academy or even avoided his favorite places. Surprisingly enough, on those days, there was no evidence of the peculiar stranger. After all, it may have just been Kae having an episode of bizarre thoughts again. Whenever there was an opening in his schedule, Kae didn't miss the opportunity to visit the library. The desire to relax and drown himself may have stemmed from the need to avoid unnecessary conversion with people, but he also simply liked the joy books brought to him. They allowed him to solve and process everything in his head, helping him avoid everything he deemed as troublesome. And thus, he headed to the library. His visit today had been late than usual, so he hadn't expected his stalker (how else was he supposed to define him?) to be there. Though he had deemed the matter insignificant, there was still no solid explanation for him to dismiss it. To Kae's disappointment, the stranger had already beat him to the library. His shoulders slugged marginally. The brunet had wanted to leave at this point, not wanting to deal with anything troublesome, however thoughts of protest swirled in his mind. Why was there the need to pay the green blob any mind? It not as if the stranger had been bothering him. It could simply be that they often had similar personal schedules. Kae asserted some effort into ignoring the other's presence. Nevertheless, it was much easier said than done. After making his choice of book, Kae decided to seat close to the green-haired student. He had wanted to confirm his suspicions after witnessing the neighbor's reactions. |
