[attr="class","hdinfo"]animated ▸ always excited and always 100% ready for action. dean gives an overall puppy-like impression, and has the tendency to get a bit too familiar too fast. when he talks, he doesn't just talk with his mouth; he communicates with his whole person... even if there may be times where the sincerity in his words is absent from his eyes.

charismatic ▸ if there's one thing dean's good at, it's the fact that he can talk himself into and out of situations. not exactly manipulative per se, but he does exhibit enough charm to stay on one's good side. for the most part, anyway.

childish ▸ despite being seventeen-years-old and almost 'legal' in some parts of the globe, dean vegas possesses such a youthful heart that he rarely acts his age. but then again, 'age' is really no more than a number, right? i mean, it compliments his babyface at least.

flexible ▸ ... both mentally and physically. dean is open-minded and never stubborn when things don't go his way. rather, he is up for any negotiation and compromise. he is also quick on his feet and, when in actual danger, will likely run away to hide in a place that can cause most people claustrophobia.

gluttonous ▸ you need him for a favour? chances are, food is one of the surest ways to obtain his cooperation. dean is the type to devour anything and everything that happens to be edible. in the case that something isn't so edible, well, let's just say that he will probably still relate it to food one way or another.

greedy ▸ though usually easily-made content, dean is rarely satisfied when it comes to money and food. when given some, he will want more, and will go out of his way to shamelessly ask for it. of course, he is also quick to be tempted with promises of either. in reality, he is a businessman first (?) and a senseless babbler second.

happy-go-lucky ▸ an optimist to the point where he may sound naive or simple-minded to some. dean has a rather carefree view of the world and refuses to take anything too seriously. to him, there will always be a way out of bad situations as long as he puts his mind to it. he's quite self-confident, one could say. he seems to lack a sense of danger as well: some refer to this as him being a 'daredevil,' while others believe it to be pure ignorance.

histrionic ▸ he wants your attention and he wants it now. actually, it's not even a problem whether it's good attention or bad attention: as long as he's the centre of your focus, nothing else matters. at least not to him. to say that he's shameless when it comes to his wants and needs is an absolute understatement.

humourous ▸ dean has a good sense of humour and cracks a lot of jokes for his own jollies. of course, many choose to believe that he's just 'easily-amused' but the ginger begs to differ. p.s. please ignore his irregular need to be punny.

materialistic ▸ if food is something that motivates dean then money is probably the meaning of his entire existence. despite the constant display of friendliness, dean's known to value material luxury over morality and humanity in general (read: 'amoral'). his attitude can turn a 180 for the sake of money, beware.

obsessive ▸ one could even say that he's an addict: not towards illegal substances, but rather, gambling. he does not quite know when to quit, nor does he know when to back off from making unnecessary bets and throwing himself into troubling situations. the less likely he will win, the better. mind you, he is also one to cheat via stuff like loaded dice.

outgoing ▸ highly sociable, dean is usually one of the first people in a group to approach strangers. he likes to interact with others and his fondness for communication is very apparent even if the other person could be the most stoic block of ice: come hell or high water, he will have a conversation with you. or in worst case scenarios, himself, as he remains close to you.

responsive ▸ he is alert, never one to ignore another, and is constantly moving about. becomes quite fidgety when he's overly excited, almost as though he had adhd; at least to those who lack any actual understanding of the disorder.

playful ▸ as mentioned before, dean lacks a serious side to him. he's a prankster at heart and is constantly in search of something exciting to keep himself occupied. this habit extends beyond regular conversations.

scattered ▸ it's almost a miracle that he's even passing his classes (albeit barely), given how disorganized he is. forgetfulness is also a problem that he faces and more often than not he will stop mid-conversation just to run back to his room to turn off the stove.

shallow ▸ 'don't judge a book by its cover' is not a motto that applies to dean vegas. he will absolutely judge someone by appearance and if they seem like they can't fork over whatever he's after, he is quick to chalk them off as being useless. well, useless to him anyway.

silver-tongued ▸ dean is a good talker and though not quite 'eloquent,' he is rather persuasive and can even be quick-witted contrary to popular belief.

vulgar ▸ despite the child-like attitude, dean is the type to cuss like a sailor out of habit. no ill-intentions or anything as it's merely something he's gotten accustomed to. watch out for inappropriate jokes as well; remember, he's quite immature and doesn't know how to grow up, nor does he want to.

[attr="class","hdinfo"]▸ born in the united states of america, dean lorenzo vegas is the product of his father and said father's ex-wife, which makes him 1/2 american and 1/2 italian. or so he was told, anyway. his mother had left the family when dean was only a baby, her reason being that she was 'not ready to settle down after all' and would rather travel the world instead. dean's father, on the other hand, runs a highly-appreciated bakery in their hometown.

▸ as a regular student in a regular public middle school, dean had the tendency to spread himself thin amongst different social groups and was considered as the class clown. this made him realize just how easily people tend to accept him for acting like a fool. he was by no means the most popular kid, but it was almost surprising how quickly guards could be loosened after a few jokes.

▸not quite a 'troubled youth,' but dean has never been a a very good student, either; his father didn't care much as long as he didn't get phone calls from thepolice. however, things quickly changed during dean's last year of middle school. with dares came stupid decisions, and with stupid decisions came yet another self-discovery: stealing and smuggling things into/out of school grounds was actually quite fun. it was a good way to earn extra cash, since he was too young to get a part-time job. then again, he had to help out with the family business anyway.

▸dean was caught and sent to juvie halfway through hishigh school freshman year. his thieving habits never died down however, and he went straight back to it upon his release. of course, it never came as a surprise to anybody when the ginger was arrested again prior to his third year.

▸with birchwood as a suggested academy of choice, dean's father took little time to decide that it was probably for the best. not that dean opposed the idea; he's always been good at escaping and sneaking past watchful eyes. besides, the more dangerous the situation the more exciting things can turn out. if nothing else, dean can definitely be considered as an adrenaline junkie.

▸ often mistaken as a 'pervert' due to his nickname since childhood: '(the) dee.' his overall personality doesn't quite help this fact in any way, either.

▸ has a half-sister, scarlett, who is seven years his junior.
