| [attr="class","hdtitle"]HISTORY/MISC. [attr="class","hdinfo"]One moment he's in the embrace of a loving woman, the next he is faced with a screaming monster who wrecked havoc in his home. Those were the two things he distinctly remembered about his mother. "I'll be back before you know it," she promised and yet that was the last time he heard her voice. Left at its doorsteps, Issac grew up in a small town orphanage. It wasn't the best place on earth, but it was home. Everyday was full of dirty children with stinky feet, but it was a warm place. Everyday he was well-fed and well-schooled. He never asked for much and in his own little way, he appreciated his family. Issac was one of the older kids and there, he learned how to care, share, and love. Everyday was just dandy...that is until the sun goes down and he found himself sitting on the doorstep, waiting for a silhouette to appear where he last saw it. As he grew bigger and bigger, his memories of her became smaller and smaller. It wasn't long before he forgot her face, her touch, her voice, and eventually her presence as well. Hope became desperate wishing. Did he really knew her at all or was it all made up in his imagination? Sometimes he questioned himself, but slowly and steadily, he erased her from his memories. Issac was 11 when his home was taken away for the second time. The shaggy orphanage he called home was closed down and he was inevitably pushed into the system. He started going to a public school and meeting kids so much like him...yet so unlike him. It'd be a lie if he said he wasn't jealous. But as Issac had always done so before, he adjusted to his new life pretty quickly. It's not a surprise that he was never really bullied. He had always learned to be well-rounded and well-liked. He liked the attention and respect he got that he became slightly obsessed with the way he portrayed himself. Issac always found himself surrounded by people and he liked it. However, he never had any deep attachments and constantly moving houses didn't necessarily help. It was around this time when Issac picked up swimming. It's the only thing that made him truly feel free. The cold sensation on his fingertips and the trembling of his lips reminds him how it feels to be so alive again. Eventually, Issac picked up competitive swimming and joined a team at every school he went. It was the third time his life was robbed from him when Issac turned 13. For almost two years, he lived with Madame Gelling. From time to time, he found himself lying on cold bathroom floor in the dark, locked away. He had been bad according to Madame Gelling. Issac pleaded and pleaded, but all Madame Gelling said was that, the punishment was for his best. However, by the time he left the Gelling house, Issac was turning into something else. The boy who never acted out before was now doing everything he can to stay out of a foster home. Eventually, just like many other troubled kids, Issac was sent to a half way home. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. Issac was 15 when the world as he knew it was turned upside down. It was a beautiful when he and a fellow kid was being driven to their new home. All he saw was a flash and the next thing he knew, he was flying high in the air along with the vehicle before they crashed hard. The world went dark. Issac had survived with a few broken bones and scrapes, but when he woke up, he had to face the reality that he will never see from his right eye again. Issac had lost all motivation and the boy he once was almost gone. He even gave up swimming. Even during rehab, Issac never tried as hard. The system deemed it best for him to restart a fresh life. Hence, he was sent to a school where he would be given proper counselling and care. The first year, Issac struggled trying to get back on his feet and he has come a long way since. Although he is not the same as before, Issac had come to terms with himself. He once again took up swimming and surrounded himself with much needed company of friends. |
