[attr="class","colelyrics"]Cause I've done some things that I can't speak And I've tried to wash you away but you just won't leave So won't you take a breath and dive in deep 'Cause I came here so you'd come for me We walk as tall as the skyline |
[attr="class,"colewords"]He didn’t understand. He didn’t know the answers. He didn’t know anything It wasn’t that he didn’t study, or wasn’t that he hadn’t paid attention in class, he just didn’t remember any of the material that was now glaring him in the face, and Cole was horribly overwhelmed. Truthfully, anyone within a fifteen foot radius would have been able to feel the anxiety wafting off of him, and anyone who just so happened to glance at him would have been able to see him visibly twitching, and the fact that he was gnawing on the palm of his hand wasn’t helping his case. The only thing he had accomplished was messily scribbling his name down on his paper, and now he found himself staring down at the first question in horror as he tried to remember what the hell any of the equations he was looking at even meant. It was like the second he felt he had a grasp on the numbers they just faded out of existence within his thoughts and he couldn’t focus on them long enough to sort it out. Writing down his ‘work’ just ended up being sloppy and disjointed and he couldn’t even follow his own train of thought, and he just felt so overwhelmed and confused. Cole could feel his heart pounding in his chest as his gaze flickered about the classroom. He was aware that he looked panicked, but that didn’t make him feel any better. Squish It was a sickening noise, and Cole felt his teeth sink into the fatty part of his palm. Blood pooled into his mouth, and in an attempt to look as calm and collected as possible he lowered his hand into his lap, clenching his fist in an attempt to stop whatever bleeding he had caused. He was silent, ignoring the throbbing in his hand, except he could feel the blood seeping into his pants. He couldn’t just raise his hand. What kind of idiot did that? What kind of idiot stress chewed through the hand during a test?! His remaining eye shifted to the person next to him, he didn’t know her name really. She wasn’t in class that often, but after a few moments of straining to see the name at the top of her paper he was able to discern who she was. ”Uh...N-Nora.” Cole whispered meekly, still clenching his fist in his lap tightly. |
[attr="class","colenotes"]Nora Foster • I know this is totally different than what we intended to thread but I also figured this would encourage a lot more interaction BUT if this doesn't work I can try to crank out something else. ALSO sorry this took a thousand years. Real life got crazy. |
